HBC Libraries

Use this app to check if HBC Libraries have a book. You can search in one of three ways -

Scan the barcode of an individual book
Enter a title (or part of a title)
Enter an author name (or part of an author name)

If a book is in stock and available you can request the library to reserve it at a particular library.
If a book is in stock but out on loan you can request that it be reserved, at a particular library, when it comes back from loan.
If its not in stock you can request the library to purchase a copy. (Although it is not guaranteed that we will!)

If you scan the barcode of a book then this book will be stored so you can re-query the library, without having the book, at a later date.

In order to use the full functionality of the app you must add a valid member’s details (surname, forename and membership number) as well as indicating which library you wish to collect books from.

On the ‘Contact Us’ page you will see contact details and opening times for all of Halton Borough Council’s libraries, as well as maps of their locations.

When you have added your library member details to the app they can be displayed as a barcode which can be used to identify you at the Payment Kiosks in the Halton Direct Links. If this does not work, please speak to the Receptionist in HDL. The barcode can also be used at the library when checking out books.
